Specification

Protects the coupler head and coupling mechanism with a sacrificial cover that is to be used to allow the recovery of train in an area where track access is unavailable due to electrified 3^rd & 4^th rail systems or access to the front of a train is limited, due to narrow bridges and tunnels or other local regulations or restrictions preventing access to the track bed.
Still maintain the same benefits as the coupler head gaiter, including increased reliability and reduced wear of the coupler in dusty and wintery conditions.

Rubber and textile shroud that is custom fitted to a coupler head with the following benefits:

Increased efficiency of coupler heaters to allow the coupler to couple and uncouple in extreme winter conditions
Keeps the heat in the coupler head instead of warming the air around it
Provides a barrier so that snow and ice cannot build-up on the outside of the coupler head
For increased heating efficiency use with a coupler head gaiter to reduce the heat loss from the coupler front face prior to coupling.
